I'm from the Lewiston Area, but now I live in Rexburg, so I've been fishing just about everywhere too. This area is definitely great for fishing, and hunting too for that matter. you're in a pretty good spot, within a few hours you can catch anything from little tiny brookies in a small mountain stream, to giant browns and rainbows in the south fork or henry's fork, to steelhead in the salmon, even to sturgeon on the snake (I caught my first this summer below CJ Strike). As you can probably tell, I kind of like southeast Idaho.
