Yes Ma'am, those sudden thaws can be as bad as any Rainy weather.
In my years in Alaska we had Rain on top of our frozen ground at least two times in the winter.
And several of the sudden breakups that caused floods on flat ground, and the rivers overflowed taking structures downriver with the ice.
But here and over in Georgia I dont think we'll be facing the floods that Fly Goddes is looking at.
I figured we'd have to have 135 straight days of at least a half inch of rain each day to bring us back to normal.
If we got more than a half inch each day, then we'd have those floods to deal with.
I doubt if we'll get that kind of rain though.
What a weird year for weather. Must be the Russians or the Iranians.....?
