Hey there Thudpucker - the knot didn't fail my test. To the contrary it held up quite well. The line always broke first about several inches up from the knot. I would put the hook in a vise then wrap the other end of the line around the shaft of a screw driver and provide a steady pull.
BTW this past Monday it was 81º in my town. Today's high was 62º. One night the low was 60º & two days later it was 39º. Kind of difficult to know whether to wear shorts or what. LOL
