I tried the circle hooks out, sorry to everyone that was interested about not following up sooner. I actually forgot. They worked really well and no "gut hooking." That was the most important aspect, as I hate mortally injuring a fish trying to get the hook out. I'd rather miss the hook set all together and land the next one. But, you can't control how the hook sticks, but atleast the circle hooks help lower the number. I actually didn't loose many more fish either, I didn't really notice. They are a bit trickier in regards to removing the hook though.

I'll check out the eagle claws. I couldn't imagine a circle hook in a #16.
