[font "Courier New"]The bar was to be used with the swing out arm of the OEM mount. There should have also been a round attachment with a hole in it that allowed you to tighten up the rod at the height you want. Of course, this was designed to set on the ice next to the hole. Then you would swing the arm out over the hole, attach the rod and adjust the height. [/font]

I don't use it myself it seems like too much trouble to setup especially if you need to move often. And it was to low to be useful. I kept the OEM case and set it on top of other fishing gear in a 5 gallon bucket for transportation. When I set it up, I put the bag on the bucket and drop the transducer in the water. I believe in KISS.
I really enjoy my X67C Ice Machine. You mentioned having two batteries. I charged mine last night and used it today. We fished for about 8 hours and used only about 5% of the battery. So, I'm wondering why you would want to pack two batteries.
