..I remember as a kid growing up in St Louis there would be mornings when we got up that there would be snow on the ground and all the trees were like these.. covered with ice.

One thing I know for sure is that you did not want to be under one of those trees later in the day as things warmed up. All of the ice deciding it was time to let go at the same time made for a loud crashing noise... []
