Help with this fishing rod please

That brings back some good memorys. That rod is for salt water use as Dryrod said and the reel he shows is a good choice. My first rig was that color rod and it's for larger fish like blues,stripers ect. Boat or pier use only. Hope you keep up the tradition Grandpa started.
