[font "Pristina"][green][size 4]Hi there Marky_sparks and welcome to the BFT. I would be inclined to say that the rod would be used for salt water fishing. Tried a bit of research but obviously the company was either bought out, changed it's name or just went out of business. It is not a practical rod for a bait caster or spinning reel. I have an old Penn reel like the one shown below that would be an appropriate fit for your rod. My reason for saying that is because I have a glass salt water rod that I used with the Penn many years ago. I used it both from a boat & piers. Sorry that I couldn't be more helpful.
