You should have fun up at Pleasant. Stick to the same striper techniques you use at Mead. You also have the fun of trying to chase down the white bass they have out there. They aren't too big, but on light tackle they feel like freight trains. Cruise around looking for big schools of the white bass boiling on balls of shad. Small topwater plugs and 2-3 inch crainkbaits that look like shad will kill the whities. If you get on a good school, you could catch 100 fish in a day. They taste good too. The fishery at Pleasant is a little more balanced than it is at Mead. The fish are generally healthier and fatter, 'cause they have more to eat. The water tends to drop a bit in the fall, and that makes the largemouth fishing a little bit harder, but remember; largemouth are feeding heavily this time of year to fatten up for the winter. They may be a little harder to locate, but they are active. Keep us posted on your adventures. Id like to see a report soon. Im hitting Mead tomorrow (sat 11-17) for some striper action. Ill give the report tommorow night.
