[black][size 3]Double Taper kinda says it all in it's name. You can string it up from either end. People like it for this reason, it saves money cause you are getting two lines in one. One end wears out, turn it over. I even know people that cut it in half and add more backing or amnesia to fill the void.[/size][/black]

[size 3]A reversible fly line with an identical taper at both ends. Easy to mend and roll cast. Most useful on moving water. This style of line is designed for short to medium casts (20-50 feet) with normal size flies. Floating lines are popular in this configuration.[/size][/black]
[size 3]There was a nice article in a fairly recent mag. that favored the DT. They feel it can deliver more accurate delicate casts. Personally, I am a WF fan, but do use it for the reason above, small rivers because it will load up quicker and it is great for roll cast.[/size]

The Weight Forward design allows you to make short to long casts (20-80 feet) with normal size flies. Most anglers find that Weight Forward lines are versatile and work well over a wide range of conditions. Any line whether floating or sinking which has a Head and Running Line section which are seamlessly joined can be termed a Weight Forward fly line.
