I love my hemostats. I bought them off ebay and they were really cheap. I read this thread before I bought them and thought I was getting some cheap ones and I would go to a med-supply later and get the good ones and when I got them I was surprized to see they were made in India...hmmm. I guess even a blind squirell finds a nut now and again.
As to the question of dehooking, I saw an ad here on this forum for ARC Dehooker at dehooker4arc.com and I went to the site and watched the video. Very interesting and simple to use. Check it out!
The 8" ones are the ones I would use. I fish freshwater and 20 years ago I had a mystery fish, while fishing for paper-mouths in a slough in Northern California, strip my line from my reel...never saw the fish. Snapped my line. I have never had a fish since then strip line from my reel, so when I saw on the web site that they have dehookers FOUR FEET long I wonder what kind of fish do you need that for!
