[cool][#0000ff]Yes. Huntington usually is one of the first "well known" lakes to ice up. it is higher elevation than Scofield, a bit smaller and shallower and sits in a basin that seems to always be a wee bit colder than some other spots.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]After last week's storm and temperature drop, there were small areas of shore ice forming around the shallow inlet area of the lake. With a current surface temp of around 40 degrees, it won't take too much to bring on the hard deck. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Fishing Huntington through the ice on Thanksgiving is a tradition among many iceaholics. Could be possible this year. Not too long until I have to trade my tube for an ice auger.[/#0000ff]
