I remember reading an article, I think it was in Field & Stream magazine, where the article writer was doing research on various rods: a total of 12 if I'm not mistaken. He had middle of the line rods that are typically used for bass fishing and gave them a weight handling test. He had a total of 50 lbs of weights that he was using to test.
Wouldn't you know it... every rod broke before getting to 30 lbs of continuous pressure except the Ugly Stick. He got that one loaded with the 50 lbs that he had on hand and it was still handling it. Granted, he didn't have a Rhino with him, and I wish he did. I'd love to see the comparision. Heck, I'd love to see a comparison test like this between the Ugly Stick, Rhino, and the Whoopin' Stick which claims to have the same properties.
