I currenly have 7 rods for open-water fishing. Most of them are Guide Series rods from Gander Mountain. Love the warranty on them! I also have a St Croix ultra-light which I just for about 50% of my fishing. Gotta love the fight of a big fish with light gear and 4 lb test line!
I was playing with a Rhino Indestructible in the store once and was telling my friend how they shouldn't break as I was bending it farther than you would consider doing to any other rod except maybe an Ugly Stick. I got to a certain point and it sounded like a gun went off in the store! Needless to say, that rod went back as defective/damaged to the manufacturer. LOL. Guess I don't know my own strength. [
