I know what you mean about focusing on hunting instead of fishing but after last weekend at the berry I'm a changed man [cool].
As far as the pointers go, they are nice....and expensive. The berry doesn't seem like it would eat lures like other lakes but I find that the Rapala X-raps work just as good, not as much detail as the Pointers but I've caught several different species on them. Jordanelle is holding three LC pointers for me, I refuse to buy another one. I suggest saving $10 and buy the x-rap, replace the trebles with VMC or Gami and you're good to go. (A little dab of superglue on the tailfeather works if you don't want to change hooks, after a few fish they tend to get 'all feathered out') I've lost three out of my stock at one certain reservoir, two to fish and one to stupidity. The price of one LC pointer. Sorry if I've wondered off the subject but I know most of you guys wince at paying < $15 for a lure and would like an alternative that is just as good. Let's hear it for the poor man's pointer HOORAY
