Nice report, havent been to SFCR, will have to try it sometimes.
As a fellow tuber,, just wanted to chime in on how I liked your tube rigs. Looks like lots of cool mods. However, I did not see an anchor. I bought an anchor this year and am wondering how i ever lived without it. doesnt help with paddling against the wind, but once u get to where u wanna be, drop anchor and rest while you fish in the wind.
There are lots of anchor styles available but i chose the mesh bag that comes with a long rope, designed for float tubes. You simply fill the mesh bag w/ rocks from the shore and it will weigh bout 7 to 10 lbs. Beauty is that you don't have to haul the heavy weight to and from the truck and water, just fill the bag when u get there and dump it when u are done. I will usually dump while i'm still out in the water and i know i'm done for the day.
You may already have something like that but I thought i'd mention it just in case. Maybe other tubers will read this as well. Like i said,,, I have tubed for a long time and didnt get one til this year and i use it all the time, especially in wind (from light to heavy). Even a light breeze can be pesky when u are sitting on a hot spot and wanna stay there.
Take care,
Rob
