Anyone fish 4 bass in Logan, UT?

I lived in logan till a year and a half ago but all I fished for were trout and bluegill/sunfish. I didn't even know that there was any bass till last month. I've heard that cutler and benson half bass. If true is it worth fishing when I head up first weekend in Oct? What lures and where bouts should I go? Thanks for any help!
