It will be interesting to see what they send you,
I would think it would be the locking mechinism. something had to release prematurly.
not having the exact model in my hands makes it difficult to see exactlly what is happening.
what ever they send you, keep us in the know.
I have found in my past experience that if you buy your reel seperatly you get it out of a box, and you get a parts list with it, that parts list shows you the break down some what how the reel is broken down.
