I think just about any fish alive will hit artificals, if done right. I used to think the same thing about Channel Cats, Fresh Water drums, Carp, Bullheads, etc. Until more recently, I've only ever caught them off of baits. The last two years though, I've had success catching all of these fish on spoons, plugs and spinners.
