Memory is the amount of curl left in the line after casting it out on the water. The really cheap lines will look like the curly hairs from a doll at the toy store. The more memory in the line, the worse it is.
It is preferrable to have a line that remains straight after casting.
The color concept in lines is to help it dissappear underwater while remaining visible out of water.
Good luck out there and tell us how you do.[cool]
