You need to be careful about which rods you use braided line on. Some of the types of braid will dig into the guides and mess them up.

If you are having all that trouble with the 25lb test on your reel, it would be better to down size the line a few steps. I would recommend some 15 or 17 instead.

Many times, the line that is supplied on a reel when you first buy it, is usually junk. Lots of memory and lots of curls when you cast. That can mess up your cast big time.

Try some smaller line and tell us how you do.[cool]
