Bait trap catch surprise

I caught a snake. Yeah a snake and crawfish. Neither of which was what I wanted. I called the state park office and they said there weren't poisonous ones around here. Surprise of my life catching a snake. I was scared before I knew there weren't alot of poisonous snakes here and they are pretty rare where I was catching bait. I don't know anything about snakes. Just in case though I am going to get one of those snake bite kits from Wal-Mart just in case I ever do catch a snake that is poisonous. Just best to be prepared as best as you can be for the worst situation.
