Portable Sonars for Canoe

Personally I wouldnt want my tranducer hard mounted to a canoe.(inside or out) I'd use one of these... As far as sonars go, I am a Lowrance guy. You should know that the speed sensors, which use a small paddle wheel, are not very accurate at slow speeds. If you get a sonar with GPS, then the speed is accurate (but obviously that is more money). Most sonars have surface temp though.
