Strawberry June 9, 2007

I went down to the 'berry and fished Sat twilight and Sun dawn. Launched the canoe from the ladders and headed out with a new fishing bud who hasn't fished in years. I thought I could get him into some cutts. We did poorly; the vertical jigging wasn't working for us. We probably tried over 35 different spots, anywhere from 25' to 35' feet of water. I was suprised, another friend had been down on Friday and caught 20+ but we had no luck at the same spots. We managed 4 fish in all, the biggest around 24".
