What age to teach a boy to kill a fish?

I operate a non-profit kids fishing program and we get those questions from the kids also. Honesty is the most important thing. They know what food is and sometimes we keep fish to eat, the same as if we bought the fish in a super market. Even at 4 they understand a great deal more than we tend to give them credit for.
