What age to teach a boy to kill a fish?

I don't have a kid, so not sure how much my water my opinion will hold here. I wasn't raised a country boy, but I remember seeing my first fish getting cleaned around 7 - 8. I don't remember being traumatized by the whole thing. I wouldn't flick blood guts and the kid, but the anatomy lesson and predator and prey thing might just make the transition easier for both of you!

Kudos on taking your kid fishing BTW! I think more parents should do it.
