Saltwater Flyfishing leaders and tippets

For the toothy critters I prefer to use a piece of Tyger leader. It is soft, yet strong. It is like having steel leader without the interference on your casting. I do a lot of spey casting as well as line shooting in the salt.

A normal steel leader is not a good idea. Tyger leader can be tied in the same way that you would tie Mono or even your normal tapered leaders. You can even tie it directly to your fly line when using a longer piece.[cool]
