Currently the predominant rainbow in the Gorge is the Eagle Lake strain. Kamloops have been stocked in the past, and growth is good for both strains. Like you said Kokeking, the two strains prefer different habitats. Kamloops prefer the open water and will likely be caught by boat anglers. Eagle Lakes will be closer to shore and dominate the shore angler catch. They'll both utilize larger zooplankton and invertebrates which are abundant in the Gorge (provided invasives don't tip the scales).
Open water trolling would just be a little more exciting as Kamloops will be susceptible to the same techniques used to entice Kokes. Could be lots of fun!
