Not only does it catch on my guidelines, vegetation but it is also like having a hinge effect in one's line. I use this quick connect out of necessity as I really have difficulty tying a nail knot to my fly line. Hard for me to see in bright sunlight. Ah to have the eyes of a young eagle again.[
