[cool][#0000ff]Anybody who claims to catch fish all the time at Willard will lie about other things too.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]But, the only time I blanked last year was when trolling for wipers from a boat. Every other trip (in my tube), I caught plenty of fish. This year, with the low water, I suspect that tubers and tooners will have a good shot at lots of wipers and kitties. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]When the water is high and clear, trolling will both find and catch wipers and walleyes. When it is lower and murkier, you will often do better by fishing a good area more thoroughly, casting plastics and crankbaits. That's where fishing from a tube is great...quiet, hands-free fishing. And, when you are up close and personal the strike and the battle are more memorable. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Not saying that you should choose sides and either be a boater or a tuber. There are times and places for both. I know quite a few BFTers who have a boat, a float tube and a pontoon. They can choose where they go and how they fish...and over a year's time they will probably have more fun and catch more fish.[/#0000ff]
