the edibility of bowin "dowg fish"
this depends greatly on the waters you catch them in. if the lake or river you find your self with a bowfin has a muck bottom chances are that you wont want to eat them, they smell like the methane put out by the muck, and they are slimy, the insides feal like a can of crisco. "litteraly"
but if caught in lakes with out muck bottoms they are relitively clean fish, not slimy, the flesh is firm clean handling and dont smell.
