Story on them bass,,,went to go steelheading to find the river rageing and brown, kinda bumed after driving 80 miles, so we turned around drove back to may house switched boats then went to a little 10 acre washington lake called lake erie, it was the trout opening and I know there are some big old bass in that lake,,,
thing was the bass bite wasnt as good as I expected, I found out they killed off the lake a few years back because the perch were overrunning it....its a shame because I caught a 9 pound bass in that lake about 6 years ago and it had some great bass fishing, but Im sure some died when they killed the perch and more starved with out the perch....so we caught our 15 trout (3 limits) then fished bass, then my daughter showed up and we let her catch her limit of trout....didnt take pics of the trout, they all look the same 12 inches and hungry (planters)...both bass hit my blue black jig and craw in about 5 feet of water next to some Bull rush type weeds...DJ
