Fishing the Snake River

Just one suggestion that's worked for me at Cascade. If you are fishing from the shore, use a marshmallow/worm setup. I've had much better luck nearer the shoreline rather than a long toss out to more open water. 20-30 feet out is plenty. Sometimes 15 feet is good. The big trout seem to be closer in. Good luck and I agree with Kodiak on C.J. Strike for trout. When they are on the bite you can nail some monsters at Strike. The Snake is good bass water near us. (Boise/Meridian) Trout in this section is questionable. Seen a few come out of Swan Falls but not out of the river sections.
