[cool][#0000ff]Great report Joni. Too bad you did not get down there in the fall of '05, when the BIG bows were still there and plentiful. Twenty to thirty fish in a morning...with the small ones being in the 18" range and plenty over 20 (rhymes). [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The bigger ones were fat 6-8 pound fish and fought like steelhead. They were fat from gorging on the abundant fathead minnows, which they balled up on the surface or chased into shore. Any small white, gold or silver fry imitation would get crashed. And, they ALL jumped...multiple times.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Since then the perch have taken over the lake and cleaned out the minnows. There is still enough insect and zooplankton life to get the bows up to a fat 18", but not like the days of glory[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Bummer about the storm. That lake can get nasty. Of course, in Utah this time of year it can blow up fast almost anywhere. Glad you at least got in one day of fishing.[/#0000ff]
