Question on lead core line
#2
[black]Just read your question, and still have some questions. Is the line that you already have a lead core line?[/black]

If not, and it's mono. that's pretty heavy for trout and catfish fishing.

Is your rod/reel setup for trolling?

With that said, let me make some assumptions, and just pass on to you some information that I have. Lead core line comes in various weights/strengths runs from about 10 to 50 pound test. The smaller would be adequate for your purposes as far as strength is concerned.

Lead core is a good way to get your baits down to where you want them, after using lead core for a while, you will know how much line to let out, and at what speed to troll.

If you start looking for information on lines other than lead core, you will find that there are many, many opinions on material, brand, and weight.

I'm sure that there are many members on here who will respond to your questions, and they have much more experience with lead core than I do.
