Probably 'bout to mod out the 'toon
#2
[black]JamisJockey, there is another post going on about this also.[/black]
[black]I will start off saying, it seems the new wave of Pontoons.[/black]
[black]I do know Scadden is making just about all his pontoons with the standing platform down to a size 9'.[/black]
[black]I do believe you will want to extend the width of your frame (make it wider) plus you will have to find a balance point while sitting and then standing. I don't think it is wise to try this on anything shorter than a 9'.[/black]
[black]On the motor, just try to get the battery as close to the back of the seat as possible.[/black]
[black]A standing platform could be built by getting some Diamond Plate aluminum and attaching some hooks made out of solid tubing and attach them to you foot pegs. It will have to have a drop to it like maybe 10" and then you have to figure out where it will go when you want to kick.[/black]
[black]Plus you need a bar to lean against. That I think is a must.[/black]
[black]On the Scadden Boats, I know you would not want to put a swivel seat on. Reason is, the bar folds back, so if you want to sit down, you can't use the bar to brace you, you have to use the back of the seat and if the seat moves, you could be in trouble.[/black]
[black]Good luck with your project and keep us up on how it is going.[/black]
