[#0000ff][size 4]The 'stripers' at lake powell have been on a boom and bust cycle for years. When the Shad are plentiful there are lots of Healthy Stripers. As the Striper population booms they eat all the shad. With limited shad the stripers starve and the shad get stronger. [/size][/#0000ff]

[#0000ff][size 4]Wayne Gustaveson (Fisheries Bioligist for Lake Powell) continues to teach that the only way to keep the striper population in check is to harvest all the stripers you can. [/size][/#0000ff]
