that sounds about par for the corse,
people do not like give out info to new people. and personaly neither do I, not my fishing holes any way.
I know I am not the only one who knows about my holes, but unless i know some one fairly well, I wont share hotspots right out...
as a general rule, peir fishing is always a good choice, fresh or salt water.
open up your state parks protfolios and look for areas open to fishing, and pay attention spicificly to those that have shore and peir access...
