TubeN2 gave you the perfect knot for attaching leader to braid. That is exactly what I use.
I've tried the Double Uni knot in the past, and it works great for lines that have the same diameter. But when you're joining a thicker leader to a smaller main line (or vise versa), the double uni knot is very uneffective. The Stren knot allows you to attach lines of any diameter or type.
I've never tried the variation that tuben2 was speaking of, but just the plain old stren knot has worked well for me. In the occasion I attach my main line right to the fluorocarbon with out a swivel, I always use the stren knot. [cool]
