Get a fly fishing vest or chest pouch. Great place to keep alot of the stuff you use frequently like pliers, favorite lures, clippers, etc.
I know ODC makes several bags but they ain't cheap.

Another thought would be to take a tote like this one
And with some creative work with bungees or velcro straps you could secure it on the tube.

I just saw you said you sewed the seams yourself. If you're that handy with a thread 'n needle you might even consider sewing a pouch, bag, or soft tackle bag of some kind onto the bag. Get creative :-)
