I agree about 10HP. 5HP is too much for a 'toon. 3 is too much. Electric motor's are the only way to go. My reasoning- instant on and go. Instant off and stop. If you stop a gas motor, you usually have to pull the safety cord/kill switch cord out. If you're not exactly where you want to be- start all over put it back in, crawl up on the seat pull the cord, once, twice then hold on. With electric-finger control to start. You know when your battery is getting weak. When you run out of gas- you're out of gas. Biggest plus for an electric- NO NOISE or pollution. I've tried both, and a gas motor is great.
