diffrent hook knots,,,,,

[black][size 3]While I use a Perfection Loop all the time in leaders or Flouro line for loop to loop connection, I have never thought of using it on a fly. Not sure I would even know how to do that with the loop in the back then loop in the front, and cross between and pull second loop over tag and through first loop. Where do you put the hook? The second loop in the middle is all I can visualize. Trust me the surgeon's is much easier. Thread fly on tippet, with enough tag to make a loop, then feed hook through loop twice. I then stick the eye of the hook in the loop and slowly tighten. When I get close to the eye, I pull the eye out and pull on tippet and tag. I can get very small loop like that and YES I think a loop can be too big and change the flow of the fly in the water. I like very small loops so the knot doesn't create its own wake.[/size][/black]
