I use the Trilene knot too. It is very strong and works for many applications. I will use the Snell Knot when tying to Octopus hooks beacause to the difference of the angle of the eyelet on the hook.

I use the Palimar for drop shotting while Bass fishing. The Dropper loop for the deeper ocean fishing or while targeting certain big game around the Islands.[cool]
