Deer Creek

I went and did a little shore fishing at Deer Creek yesterday. I fished from the island and threw some powerbait out there. I caught three trout and they were all very plump healthy fish. The wind made the fishing kinda tough. Two of the rainbows I caught were very silver in color and the larger fish was almost black on top and very gray on its sides. Anyone know why this is? Anyway, the fishing was ok and it was nice to get out.
