Well, I looked up those reels and they sure do have alot of nice features. So, I went ahead and ordered the very one you mentioned. I got the CD50. I'm just hoping it's not too bulky of a reel.
I also bought a Redbone spinning rod. I've never heard of a redbone, and I kinda took a chance on it when I purchased it; especially considering the Rod cost me 75 bucks. It looked like a well built rod though. It has Fuji Eyes, tripple wrapped, graphite construction, and it had a gimble butt too. I figured it would make a smart match for that reel. It's a med action rod rated for 20lb line. What do you think? Will it match up OK with that reel and the braid line? I'm going to put 30 pound power pro on it. It should hold nearly the whole 300 yard spool.
Is the spool on the cd50 long and shallow or is it short and deep? I'm hoping it's short and deep, I prefer a more compact size reel.
