Bear Lake Cisco run
#1
Yesterday (Thursday) about 2:00 I drove up the East side of the Bear. Several folks were at Cisco Beach dipping nets through the ice. My friend and I stopped and walked down to visit and check out the results they were having. The Cisco were coming through pretty fair but not real hot. When I got to the Casa I picked up the dip net and took my friend back to get his fair share (I have plenty left over from last year). We arrived in time to dip for about the last hour of daylight. It was pretty slow at that time of day.

The whole lake is now capped. Ice at Cisco Beach is about 2 to 3 inches thick. There is a great variance of ice thickness from area to area so be careful if you go. Right at Sundown the ice starts playing some pretty loud music.

Refer to BLFG post on Bear Lake on the Utah Board for more info.
