I use Krazy glue (instant) applied directly to the cracks! Works great.

If you are worried about the content of Krazy glue, then get the more expensive liquid bandage.

I go to Powell a couple of times each year for a week at a time, and the cracks get real bad with fishing, fileting, washing dishes, etc.. Works great, along with a good hand lotion.
