I catch a lot of 11's, quite a few 12's my share of 13's not as many 14's as I would like, a 15 here and there, but only one 17 in my life time, unfortunatly I cant say I caught it though the ice, it was trolling with a diving rapala.
I wouldnt pass my fork over a crappie to snag a gill nor visa-versa.... Good eatin, and when you cut that line of rib bones out they are better than jumbo perch.... as a matter of fact, when I get in to a gennerous mood and give a few away, they get a combo of gill and crappie fillets, and I tell them they are perch.... I hear how good them perch are usualy about a week or two after they thawed them and fryed them up....
so is it slabs and chips on your coffee table for supper bowl sunday?
