[#000000]Could it get any crazier than this!!! As we head into the final week of the season, Week #16 proved to be disastrous to some teams while others kept their playoff dreams alive. With three playoff berths still up for grabs and the number of teams in the hunt slimmed down to eleven, what a wild and crazy ride we are going to have as we head into the New Year 2007! [/#000000]

[#000000]With that being said, we begin in the NFC where the Great Number "4" yet again led another fourth quarter comeback as the Packers kept their faint playoff hopes alive with a 9-7 victory over the Vikings, while the Rams stayed in the playoff mix with a come from behind overtime win against the Redskins 37-31. [#000000]The jumbled NFC wild-card race became even more hectic as the Panthers knocked off the Falcons 10-3, while the Giants were embarrassed by the Saints 30-7. [/#000000]
[#000000][/#000000]
[#000000]To close out the NFC action, the red-hot Eagles delivered a Christmas Day present as they wrapped up the Cowboys 23-7. [/#000000]

[#000000]In the AFC, the Chiefs postseason chances have not yet been extinguished as they beat the Raiders 20-9, while the streaking Titans beat the Bills 30-29 for their sixth straight victory, but more importantly kept their playoff drive alive. [/#000000]
[#000000][/#000000]
[#000000]In Denver, the Bengals not only let the ball slip through their fingers but their playoff hopes as well, as the Broncos held on to escape with a 24-23 victory, while the Jaguars postseason chances where dealt a serious blow as the Patriots won 24-21 clinching their fourth straight AFC East title. [/#000000]
[#000000][/#000000]
[#000000]The Ravens delivered a final blow to the Steelers playoff hopes as they KO'd the defending Super Bowl champs 31-7, while the Oct-Dayne fueled Texans shocked the Colts 27-24 preventing Indianapolis from clinching a first round bye. [/#000000]
[#000000][/#000000]
[#000000]The Chargers got one victory closer to clinching the top seed in the AFC as they won a thrilling 20-17 decision over the Seahawks, while in the Monday Night finale, the Jets gutted out a hard fought victory over the Dolphins 13-10, inching themselves just one victory away from clinching a playoff berth.
Well Lions fans, for what it is worth, our team played rather well. Twenty-one points against a Bear team that is considered to have one of the top defenses in the league, and a chance to win the game in the closing seconds by dropping the ball from behind the goal line! Can't ask for more than that. [/#000000]

[#000000]At 2-13 we do not have much, but what it appears we do have is "Character". So as we celebrate this Sunday with champagne, mixers, or even your favorite type of beer, lets go out and beat those darn Cowboys to ring in the New Year! And I will buy another lottery ticket...LOL[sly]
