I have an 8 man dome tent that I cut some holes out of for night ice fishing. It works good because we have enough room to have an air mattress, 2 chairs and the finder. The only problem is the setting up part. It takes a long time and is a pain to dry the tent out when I'm done with it. I have never used it for day fishing although I'm sure it would work.
